Yerevan is ready to host IBA Champions’ Night on Saturday with Gassiev vs Ljungquist headliner

The weigh-in ceremony on Friday confirmed that the boxers are ready for another IBA Champions’ Night that is scheduled for 26 October 2024 in Yerevan, Armenia. The super heavyweight headliners, Murat Gassiev (30-2) weighed in at 104.35kg, and Kem Ljungquist (18-0) showed 106.45kg on the scales.
The undercard will see five exciting fights with four local boxers for the home crowd to cheer for.
In an 8-round co-main event Armenian boxer Davit Chaloyan goes into the ring against Taimoor Khan from Pakistan. His compatriot, Rafayel Hovhannisyan challenges Otari Gegoberishvili from Georgia at 86kg. In 48kg division, local boxer Baregham Harutunyan faces off against Anvarzhan Khodziev from Kyrgyzstan over 6 rounds.
Artur Bazeyan from Armenia faces Victor Vacula from Moldova in 6-round ranking contes at 60kg. The opening fight will see David Dzukaev from Russia against Rakhmatullo Boymatov from Uzbekistan in 6 rounds.
The event starts at 18:00 CET and will be live streamed at IBA YouTube channel.
