International Boxing Association (IBA) President Umar Kremlev has met the President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas. The two leaders discussed the opportunity to strengthen ties through sport. 

The meeting took place on Wednesday. Both leaders engaged in discussions centered on the intersection of sports, particularly boxing, and its potential to bridge cultural divides and promote peace. President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his appreciation for the IBA’s commitment to supporting boxing development in Palestine, viewing it as a tool for social unity and youth empowerment. 

President Kremlev emphasized the IBA’s dedication to expanding the sport in regions with developing sports infrastructures. He highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young athletes in Palestine, noting that sports can be a powerful means of fostering peace and understanding among nations.
