The EUBC U22 European Boxing Championships finished in Croatia

All the title contests of the EUBC U22 European Boxing Championships finished in Porec, Croatia on March 23. The medallists of the last Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships as Turkey’s Kerem Ozmen and Ukraine’s Yuriy Zakharieiev dominated their finals.

The female titles were shared between Turkey, Italy, Ireland, Slovakia, Germany, Ukraine and Poland. Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Turkey and Ukraine earned the gold medals in the male part of the competition.

Record number of 30 nations earned at least one medal in the EUBC U22 European Boxing Championships in Porec, Croatia. Among them 21 countries will represent the finals following the 50 semi-final contests that took place off the coast of the Adriatic Sea. 14 nations celebrated at least one gold medal in the first European Championships this year. Europe’s next continental event will be the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships and will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria on April 11-22.
