With the first bell of the 2016 Youth World Boxing Championships due to sound on Thursday 17 November in the Sibur Arena, Saint Petersburg, AIBA officials, ITOs and team representatives were convened for the customary technical meeting on Tuesday. Experienced Supervisor Ray Silvas of the United States led the session, with a detailed run-through of the competition format and rules. Attendees welcomed the innovations being put in place for the fifth edition of the tournament include all five judges’ scorecards being used to determine the winner of each bout, while the R&Js for each contest will be selected by the automated Swiss Timing system along with the Draw.
