The Rio 2016 Organising Committee has released the daily competition schedule for the Olympic Games.

Published as part of the ‘500 days until the Games’ celebrations, the schedule shows which sports will take place on which days, allowing spectators to start planning their Games-time programme.

The Games will officially begin on 5 August 2016, when the legendary Maracanã Stadium hosts the opening ceremony. On 6 August, the day after the opening ceremony, the Games will get into full swing as 20 disciplines begin.
