‘We have utmost confidence in the vision of newly elected New Sweden Boxing Federation President, Mr Simon Vis and what has been done to get us to this moment and the many initiatives planned to create even more opportunities and top-class events in Sweden for its boxers,’ Roberts OBE went on to say.

President Vis, stated that, ‘We are delighted to be a part of IBA as a provisional member, which demonstrates our commitment to valuing the integrity and opportunities of our athletes. Our boxers should have the opportunity to develop by being able to compete under the same conditions as the rest of the world. We look forward to collaborating with IBA to assist our athletes in educating themselves and growing, while also striving to make the

sport more popular and expand globally. Our officials, judges, coaches, and doctors will also have the opportunity for training to ensure that we maintain the highest standards and promote the individual’s lifelong development through sports participation.’
