More than 300 boxers registered to participate at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships

Following the exciting EUBC European Women’s Boxing Championships, the next continental event will be held in the Asian continent. The ASBC Asian Women’s & Men’s Elite Boxing Championships will take place in Jordan capital, in Amman from October 31 until November 13.
Amman hosted the 2013 edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships nine years ago and the competition will return to Jordan’s capital in the upcoming days. Amman also hosted the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships this March.
The last edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in May 2021. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and India were the best nations.
Boxers who were born between 1982 and 2003 are eligible to participate in the ASBC Asian Women’s & Men’s Elite Boxing Championships in Amman. Altogether 25 champions will be crowned in the event which will have eleven busy competition days. The international elite training camp prior to the championships was held in Amman between October 14 and 29.
Altogether 320 boxers including 109 women and 211 men have registered to participate in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, host Jordan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Syria, Chinese Taipei, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are the nations which are planning to participate at the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships.
The Sport Entries Check will be held between 8am and 12:30 am on October 31 and the teams have been separated into eight different groups. The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw will be held from 13:00 until 15:00 after the Sport Entries Check. The Grand Opening Ceremony will take place after all of the meetings, draw and official procedures in the competition venue at 17:00.
The first competition day of the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships is November 1 and two sessions will be held during the preliminaries and quarter-finals until November 7.
Following the rest day of the competition, the semi-finals and the finals are scheduled and divided into women’s and men’s parts.
One of the top nations, Uzbekistan selected its male team to the upcoming event which will be the highlight of the upcoming two weeks. The management and the coaches of the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation named maximum number of 13 male boxers who will represent the country in Amman including their top stars such as Abdumalik Khalakov, Hasanboy Dusmatov, Odiljon Aslonov, Madiyar Saydrakhimov and Lazizbek Mullajonov.
The head of the Kazakhstan men’s elite team, Mr. Kayrat Satzhanov selected a 13-strong team for the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships. The team contains medallists and champions from the last World Boxing Championships and other major competitions. The defending World Champion of the flyweight (51kg), Saken Bibossynov is member of their delegation, additionally the silver medallists from Belgrade, Makhmud Sabyrkhan and Serik Temirzhanov.

Men’s: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg
