Mr. Igor Gaidamak, former AIBA Executive Committee Member and President of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation, has passed away on January 14th at the age of 79. On behalf of the AIBA Family, we would like to convey our sincere condolences to the family and National Federation for this very sad loss.

Mr. Gaidamak has always been a defender of our sport and, as longstanding figure in Ukrainian boxing, had promoted the spirit and values of the noble art not only in Ukraine but also in Europe, helping to develop many of its talents. Mr. Gaidamak will be greatly missed by all those he worked with.
