AIBA Reform Commission successfully held its second meeting in Xiamen, China

Following the timeline decided during the first AIBA Reform Commission meeting on December 18th, 2019, AIBA Reform Commission held its second meeting in Xiamen, China on January 22nd, 2020 again to discuss and agree on the first draft of AIBA new Statutes according to the principles approved by the EC.

Before this meeting, the attending commission members and AIBA legal counsels spent several days discussing almost every aspects of the Statutes, taking in consideration all the proposals by National Federations and good governance principles. The commission managed to come to an agreement with the content of the first draft as scheduled.

AIBA interim President Dr Mohamed Moustahsane and AIBA Reform Commission chair Mr. Wu Di thanked all the Commission members and legal counsels for the hard work and tremendous efforts in amending AIBA Statutes.

“It is an honor for me and my team to provide convenience for AIBA and I will be more than happy to continue doing so. The meeting shows our sense of responsibility, sincerity and efficiency. We need to continue working hard in the coming months to make sure the reform process can be a success”, said Mr. Wu Di.

AIBA continental forums will be an opportunity to share and discuss the new amendments with all National Federations before AIBA Extraordinary Congress on March 20th.
