AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu awards boxers Bin Lv and Jiawei Zhang the “Hero of China” Trophy

AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu attended the “Heroes of China” Awards Ceremony, where he awarded the trophy to boxers Bin Lv and Jiawei Zhang, who are both the AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) Champions in Light Flyweight and Bantamweight categories respectively.
Dr Wu said: “The Hero of China marks the culmination of this year in China and the commencement of another remarkable year for Chinese boxers. I hope that China Boxing Federation, through unified efforts, will reach new horizons and be a driving force of global promotion of boxing”.
Zhang won his APB title in front of the packed Foshan Nanhai Gymnasium by unanimous decision on 13 Sepetmber 2015 during APB World Championships bouts. Bin Lv has also successfully defeated his title a few days earlier in Guizhou Arena in Guiyang, China, against Birzhan Zhakypov.
