The AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu played a Rio 2016 role of a different kind on Thursday afternoon, becoming a torchbearer as the Olympic Flame makes the final leg of its journey across Brazil towards the Maracanã Stadium.

The Olympic Torch landed in Brasilia back in May to begin a 20,000km journey that will come to an end on Friday ahead of the Opening Ceremony. AIBA President Dr Wu ran his leg on the edge of the Campo Grande region in the north west of the city, before handing over to Mr Zaiqing Yu of the Chinese Olympic Committee.
