During the AIBA 2016 Women’s World Championships, the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Annual Conference took place today in Astana in the presence of  AIBA Executive Director, Karim Bouzidi.

Mr Timur Kulibayev, President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, thanked AIBA for awarding the ninth edition of the Women’s World Championship to Kazakhstan after the Men’s World Championship in Almaty in 2013 and the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Championships earlier this year. Mr Karim Bouzidi praised the organisation of the current Championships and the relationship that AIBA has forged for many years with this strong boxing nation and reiterated the importance of Women’s boxing in AIBA’s development by underlining current initiatives such as the coaches’ course for women that took place in Kazakhstan one week before the Championships.
