AIBA Boxing Academy hosts 3-star Referee &Judges and Coaches course

The 3-Star R&J and Coaches course in the AIBA World Boxing Academy ended on Friday, May 8, 2015 with the participants taking their final written examination and attending a one-on-one feedback session with their respective Instructors.
The five day course consisted of 2 days of theory, 2 days of practical sessions, and 1 day of written examination and feedback. This is the first 3-Star Course held in the AIBA World Boxing Academy, and it has been a great experience for all participants involved.
Coming from 5 different continents, a total of twenty nine (29) 2-Star R&Js participated in the AIBA 3-Star R&J course, and a total of nineteen (19) 2-Star and 3-Star Coaches participated in the AIBA 3-Star Coaches course. Future courses will be announced in the “Development” section of AIBA’s website, under “Officials Management system”.
The AIBA World Boxing Academy is a specialized center of excellence for National Federations that are affiliated to AIBA. The Academy provides the most modern training facilities and programs, not only for the development of athletes but also for a wide range of experts, coaches, judges, doctors, sports managers and administrators. This sports complex is one of the main foundations for the further development and promotion of boxing. Classrooms as well as state-of-the-art gyms and boxing halls, equipped and staffed with the most modern equipment, are key for future champions.
