AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu pays tribute to victims in Grand Bassam ahead of African Boxing Confederation Extraordinary General Assembly

Ahead of the African Boxing Confederation Extraordinary General Assembly beginning 9 June in Grand Bassam near Abidjan, capital city of Ivory Coast, AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu, accompanied by African Boxing Confederation President Mr Kelani Bayor and Ivory Coast Boxing Federation President General Soumahoro Gaoussou, paid tribute to the victims of the tragedy that occurred on 13 March when terrorists attacked the popular resort town of Grand Bassam.
During a visit to the Mayor’s Office, the AIBA President expressed his deepest sympathies for the families who have suffered from this tragedy and outlined the importance of sport as an important vehicle to bringing peace to the world. Flowers were laid in remembrance of those who died.
