IBA allocates prize money to 200 quarterfinalists and medallists of ASBC Asian Boxing Championships in Thailand

The International Boxing Association (IBA) has allocated $500,000 prize money fund for medallists and quarterfinalists of the ASBC Asian Boxing Championships that will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 28 November – 12 December.
The winners are to receive $8,000, with silver and bronze medallists allocated with $4,000 and $2,000 respectively. The quarterfinalists will receive $1,000 each.
We continue to support our boxers who are winning medals at international and continental levels globally,’ IBA Secretary General and CEO Chris Roberts OBE said. ‘We have a great history and connection in Asia, the continent has a lot of strong talent and rising stars. Our duty is to support these boxers training hard for those victories and delivering impressive results. Prize money is a motivation and reward, it is a great addition to the medal and glory. We will continue in providing the best conditions for our athletes’ well-being.’
The event in Chiang Mai will bring together elite men and women in 25 weight divisions.
