IBA Athletes’ Committee requests interest from Americas

The International Boxing Association’s Athletes’ Committee is seeking a new member, to represent the American Boxing Confederation.
One male candidate is required to continue with respected parity within the Athletes’ Committee, with the ideal candidate ensuring the views of all boxers are heard and considered. All eligibility requirements must be met, with a minimum age of 18 years and having competed in an IBA-owned boxing event or in an Olympic boxing tournament in the past five years.
They also must never have been sanctioned and/or been subject to a breach of the IBA Constitution, the IBA Disciplinary and Ethics Code, the IOC’s Code of Ethics and those anti-doping regulations.
The candidate must be of good standing, not have any conviction or pending conviction for any criminal offense, not be bankrupt, nor be subject to any ongoing legal proceedings against IBA.
It is also a minimum requirement that the candidate has the ability of a conversational capacity in one of IBA’s official languages.
They must also not hold any position within any other international boxing organization, other than IBA or a Confederation unless approved by the IBA Board.
All candidates will be vetted, and all applications must be submitted by 31 October 2024.
