October 4th, 2024 / IBA Youth World Boxing Championships

National Federations have responded exceptionally, with a high number of entries that will take part in the upcoming 2024 IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva, Montenegro.

In total, 660 participants from 88 countries have been entered for the youth men’s and women’s competition, up from the event in  2022, that saw 598 athletes from 73 nations taking part.

This prestigious youth event is scheduled to take place from 22 October to 3 November 2024, hosted by the Montenegro Boxing Association.

The competition will take place at the Mediterranean Sport Centre, which was also the host for the 2022 Women’s European Boxing Championships, the 2023 European U22 Boxing Championships and back-to-back European Youth Boxing Championships; this is an exceptional backdrop in an extremely picturesque part of the world.

The International Boxing Association will be offering support to the participating teams, covering accommodation costs for all partaking boxers and three coaches per national team.

‘We are happy to welcome all registered boxers to determine the most competitive in Budva,’ IBA Secretary General and CEO Chris Roberts OBE said. ‘Grassroots boxing is a fundamental stage for development of our teenagers into the elite athlete space, and we support our boxers all the way in this journey. I expect nothing short of some outstanding technical bouts for those prestigious youth titles in Budva.’
